What does it cost me?
Nothing. Posting a job is free, and you are never charged for being put in touch with a tradesperson. Tradespeople pay us for access to enquiries; homeowners never do.
How many people will contact me?
We cap it. A limited number of tradespeople can take on each job, three by default, so you get a genuine choice without your phone ringing all week.
Who sees my details?
Before a tradesperson takes on your job they see only the type of work, your rough area (the first part of your postcode) and when you need it. Your name, phone number, email address and full address are only shared with tradespeople who actually take the job on.
Am I obliged to hire anyone?
No. Compare whoever gets in touch, ask questions, get quotes, and if nobody is right for you, that is the end of it. There is nothing to cancel and nothing to pay.
What if it is an emergency?
Mark the job as urgent when you post it. Urgent jobs are highlighted to suitable tradespeople straight away. If you can smell gas, leave the property and call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999 first.
